When I 1st moved to the North Country of New York state,.....
When I'd go Home to Maine to visit,.... I'd see friends,+ they'd all ask the Same Question,.......
"How can you stand living in such a Huge City,..??"
When I tried to explain that it's Big Country with Lots of Fields,+ Woods,......
Nobody would believe me,..... Til I told them that we Didn't even HAVE MTV at the time,.... It had been on the local Cable in Maine for a couple of Years by then.......
Up here, I'm standing about 350 Miles from NYC,.......That's almost Farther from NYC than My old Home in Maine is from NYC.......
When I was running Shore to Shore in my 18 wheeler,.....
I learned Quickly that Everybody believes that Anybody from NY is an A$$hole............
Sooooooo,......
I switched to Pa. plates on the truck(Co. i was leased to was from Pa)......
And, just started replying to the Question of Where you're from with,.............
Ayuh,........... I'm a Maineiac.........
And Everybody in the USA thinks that Maine,+ it's people are Great...........
