stern navigation light globe ?

replacement stern globe on a 1970/71 glastron v156..the ones at the marine shops are a tad to big ..its seats on the housing but does not catch the threads...any direction would be very helpful..thanks !!!

Other than replace the whole thing not a lot to offer.
