Hey guys,
Has anyone out there ever purchased stick on boat names that are advertised over the internet? I want to put a name on my aluminum boat but don't want to pay an arm and leg for a sign painter. I've seen these banner names advertised and they look pretty good to me. What size letters did you buy and are you satisfied?
If you can help me I will be thankful.
jimpittman

The best way to go is find a local sign shop (flea markets are over run with them) and they can make ANYTHING you want exactly the way you want.
I bought our boat name graphic from a local guy who really did a nice job for less than $30 or so and it was 2 colors.
It's really pretty cheap....

agree w/ bomer. i went to a local sign shop with a design/font i made on word. he was able to create vinyl letters in the exact font and color i wanted. showed me exactly how to apply. cost me $20 for my boat name and hailing port that covered approx 3' x 1 1/2'. went on the front of my electronics' box and looks great.

Got mine off of e-bay. Twenty-five bucks, I chose 3 1/2” black but I could get any size, style or color letter I wanted. The problem with the local sign shops was they had a minimum charge of fifty dollars or more. They have been on the boat for two years with no fading or peeling.
