Installing new foam or insulation pad in the bonnet of the motor. Could anybody suggest what kind of adhesive to use. Found out the hard way that regular carpet glue won't adhere to the foam. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

One last cast, Go to Home-Depot look for QB-300 multi-purpose adhesive,pro-series. it's made by Ohio sealants. It comes in a orange and black tube.
Just use a standard caulking gun to apply. Bill

Got a walmart near you? Try Goop all purpose advesive. Works great on rubbur gaskets to metal and fiberglass...should work there too. It comes in smaller tubes than the caulking gun size...or hit the home depot type store and get some industrial adhesive in a caulking tube.

Bob

contact cement will work as well. The nice thing about it is that you won't have to clamp in place while waiting to dry.....
