Sticky Trim ?

The trim control on my Quicksilver throttle control sticks this causes a problems when running and trying to trim up or down. How can I fix? I already tryed spraying some corrosion block and wd-40 in there.
Also, what octane should I be running in my 135 Opti? I have heard some say mid or premium and other say 87(regular)

It's a bit of a chore, but change out the switch before someone gets hurt.
