Looking for some advice. I have a 1983 35 HP Evinrude remote control with a very stiff throttle. I have isolated the problem to be with the part the throttle cable connects to on the motor which has the throttle stop also.
Does anyone know how to remove this part so I can clean and grease this.
I have a SELOC manual but it does not cover this part. It looks like to should just lift straight out but when taping with hammer it does not move and do not want to force anything. Any advice would be appreciated.

The part I am trying to describe looks like a mushroom shape. Shaft on bottom and Gear on top that slides through the hole on the cowling. This is the part also the throtle cable connects to. I still have been unable to determine how to get this part out of the cowling and can not find any c-clamp etc. Need help since my manual does not cover this. Any advice would be appreciated.
