Still having problems with 1987 Tilt & Trim - will not stay up

This message is for J.R or gotsaved or anyone else that can help me. I received information from them on how to fix my tilt & trim. However, the first step (finding the quarter size plug that takes an allen wrench). Either I have a different tilt and trim or I am just blind, but I cannot seem to find it.<br /><br />If either of you can can e-mail me at nrvelasquez@yahoo.com I would really appreciate it.<br /><br />I have pictures of my tilt & trim and maybe you can point out to me where exactly the plug is.<br /><br />If anyone else can help me I would also appreciate it.<br /><br />Thanks again

If it is a Prestolite your valve body is probably bad. You can get one from a place called API out Fort Laurderdale Fl. Their phone # is 918-786-8180. you will have to send in your core.

Hey,<br />Sorry to hear the problem continues. Hookset may be right on the valve body. You must have a different t/t motor than I do because the plug I removed is at the bottom and looking at you if you are behind the boat. There are O rings in the pistons that could be leaking by also. E-mail your pix to jeffmock@cox-internet.com. At least we can see if you have the same motor.<br />Thanks

The 87 has snap-rings holding the check valves in the pump body.

I think a 1987 125 HP Force tilt and trim problem, should be on Force page.
