Re: Still Having Site Problems?

The iboats forums are a service provided to users for free. Because of this, I don't expect it to be "perfect." It was also not my intent to fault anyone or describe the site as being inadequate.

That said, when folks suggest that a problem is the product of using a particular browser, particularly when that browser happens to be the dominant browser in the marketplace, I have to take exception. There is a technical explanation for this problem and that should be the focus, not browser preferences/biases.

Once again, I'm not looking for pefection, so if this takes awhile to resolve fine - lets just not minimize the reality that the vast majority of internet users, use IE and it behooves the site administrator to make sure that it is compatible, with all recent versions of IE.

Re: Still Having Site Problems?

I use FF. I've noticed in the past couple weeks when I click "Quick Links" there are 3 empty spots where a menu item "should" be. They are highlighted when I mouse over and open when I click on them. The first, under "Mark Forums Read" open a "Contacts" window. The second, under "Edit Signature" goes to the "Edit your details" page. The third, under "subscribed Threads" goes to my profile page.

In IE7, those anonymous menu item spots are barely visible lines that still highlight when I mouse over, but don't do anything when I click.

Maybe that's from the onging upgrade. It's no big deal for me, the controls I normally use all work like they should.
