Ok, so I scared everyone on the boat yesterday, went out to the island (Three rooker off of Anclote Key), had some trouble getting anchored, that is another story, this was the third trip of the day.

Ready to leave the island (forgot cell phone and portable radio), turned key, warning buzzer only. Oh crap mechanic told me that if battery was to low motor won't even try, switch to aux battery, same result, switch to both battery, same result, oh crap now what. Time passes (maybe 5 seconds seemed liked hours), neighbor says, "is it in neutral", CRAP!!! NO!

Forgot the mental check list, never shut off motor unless in Nuetral, always remember to put it in neutral before starting! Put in neutral, start motor, get crap from wife and friends, finish the day on a nice cruise back to the dock.

I guess I didn't have my procedures down It's good to know at least I am not perfect.

Drilled holes after paint, bought new hole saw, paint didn't flake at all (I was surprised), it is the Petit Easypoxy on the interior. Used marine silicone on guage perimiter.

I think I need to resize prop, tached out at 5800 39mph today, 17 pitch, can swing up to a 20, probably going to try that next.

Great cruising at 4000, otherwise fuel gets eaten fast. Used 1/2 tank today (filled up with 36 gallons), went out 3 times, have boat tied at neighbors dock.

Get your max speed @ wot and go see walleyehed in the prop's forum and he will get a prop dialed in for you, the guy has a really good grasp on overall preformance. You havnt cut any corner's so far..........8) might as well finish right.

Don't feel bad Epresutti, I did that with an Isuzu pickup truck that had an automatic tranny. Went home one day, shut off engine, ran inside, ran back outside, tried to start engine, nothing. Spent the next hour taking the starter out, checking and cleaning connections, you name it. After everything is back together and I am giving it one last try I happen to look down at the shifter and noticed it was still in Drive......
