british seagull eng no esc 181 hh1, i had to strip the cyclinder head to clean the water passages, took the piston out also for easier handling, cleaned the water jacket and reassembeled taking care that the piston rings were seated correctly, new cyclinder head gasket with a film of sealant.
started first pull pumping water great when i put her under load engine stops, bought a compression checker after five pulls no reading on the dial.
in and out of gear no problem when not under load.
