1995 Rinker 180 BR 3 ltr I/O Merc Alpha
The storage access under the front bow cushions are rather small. The cushions themselves are a one-piece unit, one for each side. How much trouble would I cause by extending this access port by about another foot?
It's all fiberglass, with no supports underneath. I'm not going to make it wider, just longer. The strength should be coming from the corner bend that goes down to the floor, and it's connnection to the gunnale(sp?). I would like to makes this larger for storage issue's but dont want to mess with the integrity of the boat. The Bayliner 175 has the opening that I would like to emulate, if that helps.
Any thoughts?
