Storage for boat stuff

I was cleaning up the basement tonight and the boat stuff was part of that. I have it all in plastic bins and on an old mini fridge. What do you guys use to store all your boat stuff (spare pumps, extra rope, hoses ect)? Also do you keep it all in your basement or in a garage?

anything that may break while boating, I keep on the boat. plugs, impeller kit, spare prop, ignition module, etc.

everything else in shelves up in the garage. no longer have a basement since they dont build basements in florida.

In my garage in bins as well. If I might need it on the boat, in a milk crate in the engine compartment

I have two garages so I keep the boat stuff in the garage where the boats are kept.

I have a shelving unit in the shop which has any spare boat parts on the top 2 shelves and all my extra CJ stuff on the bottom 3 shelves. I use milk crates and plastic tubs to " Try " to keep stuff organized. I also keep the batteries and two 6 gallon gas tanks to our Starcraft in the shop on this shelving unit when the Sarcraft is stored outside.

6- 18 gallon totes.
4- smaller totes.
12' x 2' shelf

in the garage:
3 engines on stands (75, 90, 65 hp)
2 extra gearcase on the floor

in the rented storage unit:
4 small motors on stands
center console

in the boat:
impeller, fuel pump, switchbox, +

in the spare room in the house:
2 sonar units and a chart plotter in a hard American Tourister train case.

and in the tow vehicle:
an extra plug and boat key in a tote with the tow bar and 7 plug harness

in other words, its everywhere and anywhere it will fit

I have a large plastic trash can with a tight fitting lid to hold several boating/camping related items....it's water/rain/bug/rat proof and cheap....
