I have a 88 205 Sundowner with a 4.3 and Cobra outdrive. When running high RPM the engine losses power when the trim button is pushed up or down . It doesn't seem to do it when at half throttle or less. I thought maybe a short somewhere but could that cause such a draw that the alt. draws that much power from the motor? and why not at lower throttle? Any help would be very much appreciated.
