First time r&r-ing the drive, and I noticed the strbd ram will not move when pressing up/down switch, port ram moves normally. I don't know if this is new or if it has been like this all along, drive always went up and down ok. I will run the shock piston test later today, but does this sound like just a trim cylinder rebuild?

i had a similar question when i summerized too. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=382864

in the end, i just hooked the rams back up (which took a shade of patience since the rams weren't moving together) and it's been biz as usual.

if it don't work proper after reconnection, then i'd start trouble shooting it..

Thanks, I'm gonna fool with it some more today, but the one ram will not move at all when running the trim pump. The left one was extended out about 2", the right one was all the way in, and it wasn't like that when I removed the drive. I just suspect the one that does not move is frozen and needs a rebuild, just wondering if I'm off base with my guess?

Well, I got both rams secured to the drive and ran it up and down 5-6 times, it seems to work just fine, but I don't know if just one is working, I can't tell without pulling them off, so I guess I will unhook them and check to see if the one is still not working. Haven't done the shock piston test yet, will try to do it today. Would it hurt the one that is working to have that one doing all the work?
