I am getting a stress crack in the front lower (under water line) of my boat welded - I am thinking of following up with JB Weld or marine tex on both sides of the weld - anything else to consider - i would like this to not crack again and thought jb weld might add some strength.

ha!! JB weld could never DREAM of being half a weld!!! so I don't know how it is going to "help" JB weld is glorified GLUE!! welding makes one or more metals ONE piece. if you get it "welding by a professional, you are don't until it cracks again...then you have to look at the design or the root cause of it repeating.
