Re: Stringer 800

God information to know! It is a heavy propeller. I want to get like a 15X22 propeller. I think I will do my base line run with the SS 15X16 and select a different propeller from there. I was told by the old owner to pitch it more because of the light weight the engine spools to 5500 rpm rapidly... that was with what ever prop he had and couldn't remember what pitch it was.

I bet you will do well with a 15x19 or a 15x21. Just make sure that whatever you get is a full 15" in diameter. When they repair props, they cut the blade diameter down. I never realized that. I always thought they added back to the blade tips.

I pulled the ball gear and shaft, no corrosion. I then took off the power steering and bingo!! the last nut :D. Removed that and it all but fell on the ground! I am learning alot by taking apart a complete unit and can wait to start rebuilding my outdrive!
