Re: Stringer advice

Hey Fix,
I ve done the repair you re considering bedded the stringer in with putty, (ground glass and resin) left the strongest part of the glass in the boat kinda like a little channel, took a steel brush on a drill and cleaned it all out, then glassed over it, before I glassed I let putty set and tried to kick out the stringer just to see how solid it was and couldn t , then I tried walkin on it still no give strong as can be. I used pressure treated that I let dry out for 3 or 4 days, this was 3/4 ply, fit nice and tight in the groove too.
Budget wise it worked well too.
