I've got a 1987 24' G.W. I bought back in Feb of this year. What a surprise, my inside set (and problably exterior as well) of stringers and 3 bulkheads are soaking wet....water oozes out when pressed with a screwdriver. :( Can I peel the woven roven off and let the stringers dry and inject them with some kind of epoxy to keep this from reoccurring or do i start ripping out stringers and bulkheads?

Ripping the whole mess out and laying in new material will give you the best result. Good luck...

Yeah, that's exactly what i didn't want to hear....but you're right, it'll give the result i'm satisfied with. BTW, i scanned through your website, Man, that's one heck of an undertaking. Fantastic job. I've bookmarked it for future reference. thanks again.

You'd put almost as much time into trying to solidify the existing stringers as just gutting it and starting fresh. The outcome will be 100% better. If you decide to do it right, make sure to take pics along the way. We love to see projects in the making.

I've been documenting this undertaking with pics already. How do you attach the pics to this board?

okstatefan, the best way i've found to post pics on the board is to use outside hosting (unless you have a web site). i've used yahoo to share photos here, you just post a link to your albums.

good luck
