Ok want to replace the stringers but i cant get a measurement off the old stringers. They are in real bad shape the tops did not have any fiberglass on them so when i took the floor off the stringers cam off along with it.Anyone have any suggestions?
There are also these little round fiberglass looking things down the sides. It looks like just rolled over cloth any idea what that is?
Thanks
Sean

Welcome to iBoats!
From your pics it appears your stringers could be 3/4 inch ply. But you could and I would recommend you go back with 1 inch or 1 1/2inch. Just laminate em together and wrap em in glass. Set em in PL adhesive first. Not sure what you mean by "Round Thingys"

Re: Stringer size?

I don't know what the round things are but I just put new stringers in my boat in the last month. They weren't as bad as yours but I didn't use them for templates, What I did is use a straight 2x6 and layed it across the top of the boat (on end with the cap off) then I measured from the bottom to where the old floor was to get the level for the new floor. When I measured for the stringers I measured from the bottom of the 2x6 to the hull where the stringers would sit on the hull then I subtracted the measurment that i took to the floor Previously. This way your deck will be level with the top of your boat even if it was not before. I took alot of measurements along different spots where the stringers would go because they were not the same height all the way along.
