I Have A Second Boat , It Is An 1969 Elgin 16 Ft Fiberglass With 650 Mercury 65 Hp.
The Floor Went Over The Winter And The Sole (floor) Cracked Open. I Spent A Couple Of Hours Today Trying To Remove The Floor I Got A Good Bit Of It Up. The Stringers Where Wet ( Heck Everything Was Water Logged) But Stringers Where Solid Just Wet -the Fiberglass Around Is Gone. Should I Replace The Stringers Or Just Reglass. note i have seen a few boat on here put foam under the floor, mean has no foam an where.
what should i do foam or no foam? what kind of foam ?

Also What Is Good Tool To Use In Tight Area Of The Boat Where The Floor Meets The Bottom Of The Boat for removal of the floor?

Dose Any Have A Inexpensive Way To Reglass And Do The Floor?
Will Auto Body Fiberglass Work To Reglass / With Mat ?

I Am Going To Use 1/2 In Outdoor Plywood For The Floor.
I Just Got Book For West Marine On This Stuff It Wasn't Very Informative.

Any Help, Any Way To Save On Fiberglass Materials Would Be Cool Too.

Thanks

Since you're going to all the trouble you midis well do it right, yank the old wood and go with new. That is what I would do, too tough to make changes when shes all together.
