I have a MFG Gypsystar 17 and in the process of replacing stringers and transom, the old stingers were not tied into the transom with fiberglass, just butted up against it,fiberglass stopped about 6 inches from transome.I was wondering if it would be a good idea to tie the stringers to the transom with matt and roving?

I would think that would definitely be a good idea.

They did a cheap job from factory, plywood stingers only glassed about 4 inches, about 4 inches exposed wood, barely any bedding, little patch of bedding in front and rear of stringer.is there any alternatives almost as strong as epoxy and cabosil to re-attatch transom to hull.have easy access to poly resin, but having a very hard time here to find epoxy and cabosil,I don't buy online so options are limited.

Many of us are using PL Premium construction adhesive from home depot, its cheap, slightly flexible and tough, its perfect for bedding stringers or gluing a transom up the a glass hull. You get approx 30 minutes work time, I like it.

That boat sounds like it was thrown together.hahaha, you can do it better.:)

Glass stringers to transom, it will lock everything into one strong unit.
