can you post a pic of the other side of the wood? You dont have to show us you trying to pry it apart im just wondering the composit wood i had in mind is different looking. At Blows i look at the decking material and it looks different than that.

ok ok thanks maybee when im at work tonight i need to flip one of the boards over to see the other side. I have seen your pics before i just thought that it looked different. I did not realize that the opposit side had like a wood grain look to it. That cool. Im going to get s maybee 1 foot scraps from work today and test it with poly resin. I got UScomposits poly layup resin that i have been useing. How should i test it? I got about 4 ideas of how i can do it.

what about structural integrity??? i think its a good choice as far as rot resistance, but it does not have the structure that real wood does... Does this pose a potential problem?? Will it let the hull flex too much, and ultimately crack the fiberglass? I dont know personally, but its something to think about...

Thanks now I can go down to lowes and buy some compositie and get going on this boat. My wife is starting to wonder about it. Is it going to be a boat or a large flower bed.
