I've started striping the blue bottom paint of my little Boston Whaler Sport-11

Its taking me longer then I thought it would, I'm using an electric DA sander.

I've done the outside of the transom and both sides of the hull, so I've still for a lot more to do.

After all whole hull is striped I'm going to re-gelcoat it.

Pictures:

Bottom(still blue):
http://img73.photobucket.com/albums/v222/ryanwhaler/DSCF0207.jpg

Transom:
http://img73.photobucket.com/albums/v222/ryanwhaler/DSCF0205.jpg
http://img73.photobucket.com/albums/v222/ryanwhaler/DSCF0204.jpg

Hull side:
http://img73.photobucket.com/albums/v222/ryanwhaler/DSCF0206.jpg

I was going to flip it all the way over, but leaned it up agains two beams that hold our deck up. Fliping it all the way over would have been harder, since I was by myself I did it this way.

See pictures:
http://img73.photobucket.com/albums/v222/ryanwhaler/DSCF0211.jpg

http://img73.photobucket.com/albums/v222/ryanwhaler/DSCF0213.jpg

http://img73.photobucket.com/albums/v222/ryanwhaler/DSCF0212.jpg

Re: Striping bottom paint

Are thr drain tubes located that high on all Whalers? Is there a possibility of getting water inside below that level?

Just curious

Yes, if water was below that level it would drain out the outher threw hull drain tube, located in the floor. If you look at the picture of the boat on its side and you can see it. 11foot whalers have two drain tubes.

I see the picture you are referring to. I thought that was something to do with a water pickup for a livewell.
