Ok, so the helicoil is in. It is actually not that bad of a process with the cap off.
The thread is 1/2 x13, got the coil and used 7/32 drill bit to take out a tiny bit of metal and after ran a new thread.
Put a coil in with a lot of red locktight and cut the coil from the bottom with a Dremel to make it flash with the surface.
Everything now is back together and ready to go.
