While bleeding the trim cylinder lines I discovered that one port was so far gone (corroded) that I could not get the line re-attached and ended up stripping the threads. It's aluminum and I think I'm basically screwed (pun intended) and need to replace the cylinder.
But.... is there any solution for repairing this? Will JB Weld or something similar fix this?
BTW - this is on a 1982 Mercruiser 470 Outdrive.
