stripping old carpet and glue from aluminum top decks

Can anyone suggest what to use to strip this old stuff from a 1987 boat,Im sure it was factory installed and some of the old carpet scrapes off but areas of the glue remain. Im sure its been baked on too from sun ,I have some muriatic soaking now that seems to help or meyby paint stripper?? any suggestions appreciated. Dave

MEK. Methyl Ethyl Keytone. Friscoboater used it on his boat. Said it worked great for the glue.
Check his thread out. Here I go again!! 1995 Sea Ray 220. Has a video on using the MEK.

MEKP Methyl Ethyl Keytone from Lowes or other hardware stores has done a good job for me in removing old carpet glue. Make sure you have adequate ventilation!
