I was wondering if anybody has had any luck using an aircraft paint stripper on your aluminum boat? I am getting ready to strip the extremely old and bad paint job that someone prior to me owning the boat did. It is 14' and sanding is not an option for me.

I've been using ZipStrip paint stripper on my Starcraft Starchief. I've been picking away at it for a few weeks now. So far in total time I've spent maybe 10 hours and about 1/2 gallon of stripper. It is a lot of elbow grease but I find it easier than sanding. I do think it would be pretty grueling to just do the whole thing in one shot.
