stuck open t-stat discussion

I pulled off the cover to my t-stat and found it stuck open. my question is how will this affect:

-decarb effectivness (used seafoam before i found open t-stat)
-wot rpms
-carb mixure setting

I replaced it but was just wondering about any differences to expect

in case it matters 71' 50hp

The next thing to do after decarbing is to change them plugs, cause they're probably all gunked up.
I have found that when a motor is not operating at its optimum temp, they inevitability retain a high level of carbon build up.

In order for the decarb to be effective, the engine needs to be at operating temperature; I am guessing it never got to that with an open t-stat. You may want to do another decarb; certainly can't hurt...​
