stuck tracker controls

i have a 1991 nitro 115 evenrude,controls pull out for neutral push back in to go in gear,control is stuck,almost have to beat it to get back into gear,how can you take tis apart to lube it ?once its in gear it works fine.just the in and out thats stuck..

Don't actually know which control you have but most do come apart. Many require the handle to be put in full forward in throttle only, then the center button can be removed. You mentioned yours pulls out so this is a bit different but maybe a posting a pic might help us

the best i can tell its a morse,maybe morse 2,put on tracker boats,pulls out for fast idle,push back in for in gear,mine has got so stiff you have to beat it back in,will any control box hook to my cables,or thought about a hot foot..then i wont have to pull it out at all,would i have to get a longer cable for hot foot?

Having some issues find a repair manual, have found a lot of install manuals. Seastar has the morse controls. Have never installed a hot foot, but my guess is it would take a longer cable. I'm sure you could get your control apart and lube, just what will it take to remove it
