Stupid Battery Wiring Question

Ok all, I am getting ready to hook up the batteries today since the weather is not cooperating for my final coat of Brightsides!

I ran a 2 battery setup last year, with a switch. Loved it, worked great, etc. I forgot how I had it set up!! Long winters here in the Northeast.

From the pic, I think I do the following:

Hook up the negative to my first battery, then a jumper to the other batteries negative, then a pos red to each battery.

Correct?

Thanks a million.

yep...that will do it, for the small wires in the pic they look like bilge pump wires?, the 2 browns should go to a positive post and the black to a negative. That way the pump will still work even if the switch is off.

Thanks Bob, that's exactly what I needed! And yes that's my bilge pump.

Oh and my deep cycle should be for my accessories right?

thanks again

Re: Stupid Battery Wiring Question

Yes...normally especially if you have a fish finder or GPS as they are more sensitive to voltage drops caused when starting your motor so being on another battery avoids this.
