Went for a cruise Saturday night to lake-test an engine repair, runs great no problem. I should mention that my bow lights are are up on a standard that fits into a socket.

It was windy enough to make for a pretty rough ride. Heading back to the marina, my boat ejected the bow light from the socket & tossed it overboard. I slowed & reached into the water hoping for a lucky grab, but came up empty handed.

No other boat traffic; this is really more of a minor inconvenience than a major problem, except that I'm starting to see a trend, maybe even a conspiracy. Few weeks ago the truck spit the accessory belt tensioner out onto the street. What's next? Computer tosses a hard drive across the room? Dishwasher racks rolling across the floor? where will it end? Am I in some kind of Steven King short story?
