stupid fish FRY trick

Earlier this evening, as is our custom, the wife was frying potatoes while I was frying fish. She was using a large SS spoon to lift the fries outta the grease (don't ask me, misplaced the strainer or something).<br /><br />I reach over & picked up her spoon (misplaced my slotted spoon or something).<br /><br />You know how, whenever you set a spoon down, some of whatever was in it stays in it? That goes for hot grease, too.<br /><br />I was dancing like I never danced before now I got a nickel-sized blister on the top of my right foot, eeeyyouch! Talk about pain! I hate it when I do that.<br /><br />I just hope I'm able to wear a shoe for work tomorrow.

Jt, I remember my father frying potatos in the same grease/oil as the fish, after the fish was done. He said that the potatos cleaned up the oil? whatdaknowaboutthat?...sl<br /><br />nice avatar, is that your hound?

Steve, your father was right, however, the moisture in the potatoe will break down the oil.
