So I decide to get in a little early morning fishing.... my wife & kids are asleep - I sneek off to a local lake. The bass have been hitting top water lures like no tomrrow. -- It's maybe 5:30 the sun is just comming up, I'm walking the shoreline casting a Jitterbug. As fate has it - I snag the only damm stick protruding out of the water... I pull, I pull & off she comes! Now this lure is moveing somewhere near Mach 3 when it hits my leg (I'm in shorts). The bank is on an incline.. so the leg is bent. ZAP - I've got trebble barbs burried so deep above & below the knee on the inside of my thigh... it's not even bleeding -- the bugs are now swarming.. I can't move my leg to walk.. I hop on one leg for nealy a mile to the car.. drive home w/ my L leg & attempt surgery in the bathroom. (don't try this - go straight to the ER). I barely touch these hooks & I'm ready to soil my lingere. The folks at the ER probably still remember me hopping in for hook removal work that morning. My wife still does'nt know this story -- figure its better off that way.

Man we're have'n fun now.

Dave B.
