I think this could fit in several catagories, Boat Repair, Trailers, or this one. I figured this on fit the most. Never having docked my boat all season before in my life, it has been a very good year. Warm nights and hot days, not much rain, water level only dropped three feet this year. My best fishing hole in the lake was at my slip. It just happened to be over an elbow in the old creek bottom of the lake. Fishing was good and a nice range of species.<br /><br />Last weekend I decided it was time to be pulling it out. I could see nasty looking stuff on the sides and just knew I was going to be challanged on getting this crap off. A 27' boat is a pain to keep clean.<br /><br />My friend put the trailer in the water, got the boat lined up just right and I gave it the amount of gas that I normally would to get it up on the trailer. You would think that I would have known that that slimy green stuff would work like axle grease. Look Out Wench Tower!. Well,,, now I need a little bit of hull repair, wench, and a new tower to put it on. OOOPS! DANG ON IT! My friend said the his 1 ton truck slid up the ramp about 2 feet!STUPID STUPID STUPID.<br /><br />My wife keeps telling me that I should look an the bright side that this was the fist accident that I have ever had in 30 years. True, but I sure hate breaking an accident free record. Then my teen son just has to mention about the old saying that things happen in 3's? 
<br /><br />Its not all that bad, eveything is repairable and really no major damage. <br /><br />To think that I was thinking about getting liquid bunk to help aid loading the rascal up. Last year it was a real pain to get it loaded. What I learned is that leaving the boat in all season makes it easier to load on the trailer at the end of the season.
