Why....because he wanted to see if there were any fish at the dock, so he could save fuel and still say he was out on the boat.....or maybe so he could check to see if the depth finder was accurate.....or maybe it was just to give us IBOATERs something to make fun of.

We were launching a pontoon boat at a very small secluded boat ramp on Lake Harding on the AL side. Same thing was going on, lawn chairs and parents that didn't give a sh..t. After we had to take care of there kids by getting them away from the launch pad so we could put the boat in we were pulling the trailer out and when we parked there were 3 kids hanging on the trailer and the parents were laughing. Guess its all in a days fun!

Ohh man. Anybody ever come to the 'Paupack? We have a special bench at the Ledgedale launch ramp for all the locals to come on down and watch the show.

We even place bets on "Dummy of the Day" and "Hey, watch this!".

Okay...the best one I ever saw was a couple of years ago when I ran the boat dock at Willisburg lake in Washington County, Ky.

The Washington County "rescue squad" pulled up the hill about fifty yards from the water and as they stopped....it became immediately apparent that NOBODY had locked the trailer on the ball, nor hooked up the safety chains..... I gave them the "fastest pontoon boat deployment of the year" award

Luckily no one was hurt.
