I am in the process of redoing a 69 starcraft aluminum boat and when I pulled up the floor most of the styrofoam looks bad. Looks like it migfht have gotten water logged, I was wondering if anyone knows a place i can try to find some of this stuff I would appreciate it.

You can purchase 2 part do it yourself foam in MANY grades and available at many marine supply stores.

I would suggest that you read these forums and look up plastic bottles. They are lighter, cheaper and just as effective.

Other people will chime in about the bottles.

Now once you have stripped out the water logged foam.... find out it the hull leaks.

If your starcraft is like mine you've got foam blocks. Are you looking to replace those, or put in solid foam.

You can get foam blocks at any foam store, just bring some of what you got and they'll match you up.

I figured I would take the foam out and put it in the water to find out where the leaks are. I am sure a boat that old has a few. Yes it is the blocks, but I was thinking of going back with some of that 2 part stuff. I have never heard of a foam store, i guess i need to try to find one around Dallas somewhere.

get the foam out, and run water into the boat, a heck of a lot easier to see the leaks. circle with a sharpie. seeing you have blocks cut them open and see if they are wet inside. if not use them. there are many sources for blocks up to 4x10x2 feet. google.
