I had to go to the Merc. dealer to get a part for my merc engine. He tole me to only use merc products in my engine because any other type would do damage. is this true?? Does the fact that a bass pro shop is being built have anything to do with his answer ?

Not true, MS. <br /><br />Many products are equal to, or superior to "Merc" badged products.<br /><br />The BPS may be making your wrench feel threatened, and it probably should.
