2000 sea ray 245 with a 70 gallon tank. Pickup is in the front of my plastic tank. In rough seas, with the bow up, my pickup will suck air. Do I have any options?

Re: suckin air

Check the top of the tank if you have access to it. There may be another port at the back of the tank. If this turns out to be an issue that involves lots of money to resolve, consider creating what we in the Radio Controlled Airplane hobby call a "klunk". Since our airplanes fly upside down the fuel pickup must flop from bottom to top. You can do the same thing. Remove the dip tube and fashion a flexible fuel line with a weight at the end that keeps the pickup on the bottom and at the back of the tank.
