I am looking at replacing four seats on my 16' aluminum fishing boat. All the bases and pedestals were replaced last year, but now I need to look at new seats. The ones I have are not original, they look like "economy" seats, and the main problem is the weak aluminum hinges. The hinges bend with the slightest "leaning back" onto them. I'm not that big a person, but man, these things are really weak! I bend them back into shape, but I'm sure a few more bends and they'll just snap off.
Does anyone have any advice (or what to avoid!!!) on replacements? Obviously, I want a decent seat without spending a fortune.......
Thanks in advance.

Re: Suggestions/advice on replacement seats

Tempress makes some awesome seats, all plastic framing and hinges - with no pinch points.

Available at bass pro, cabelas, maybe even iboats, and many local marine dealers.

I bought the high back seats a few years ago.
I have now given them to dad, and bought the low back models for my boat. They are better for fishing in my opinion.
