sorry for posting twice ,but i did do a search and kept coming up empty ,so i guess ill have to look for help from some salty old boat mechanic who will probably tell me that my motor is not worth fixing thanks for putting me in my place sincerely, acman

We use the ^ caret to indicate that we have replied to the thread simply to move it back to the top of the display, Peter.

That is also known as a bump. You will commonly see only one word, bump, in the reply.
