Boat is a 1986 Rampage 24 Express
The second poor design of this Rampage is the screw holes for the jack shaft cover. The screw holes are right over the stringers and a place that allows water to leak onto the stringers. (see picture). (First poor design, IMHO, is no access to fuel tanks without cutting deck... but I digress.)
Holes are cut by each screw hole to let those areas dry. The stringer has some moisture penetration on the top but I picked at the stringer with an a pointed awl and stringer is solid.
In the second picture, you can see the cracks that are forming.
Suggestions for ways to reinforce the stringer? Stop the cracks from getting larger?
