currently in the middle of rehabing a new to me galvanized trailer for the Cruiser's.

trailer has UFP spindles, had UFP 42 brakes (rusted beyond salvage), and a UFP A-60 actuator set up for tandem disc brake axles.

new A-60 actuator on its way, however thinking of changing over to Kodiac Dacromet 10" kits.

anyone else using the Kodiac stuff on the UFP axles?

Backing plates and spindles have industry standard sizing. Kodiak brakes would fit on axles made by Johnson and Johnson if they made them.

FWIW: UFP is a subsidiary of Dexter Axle

I agree on the beaings and backing plates being standardized, I lasered new backing plates as there was none on the idler axle and I want to run brakes on both.

however in reading, the kodiac discs need a special seal on a few different spindles to seal correctly.

I have Kodiak discs on a Continental galvanized trailer. I have no idea whose axles.
I do however recommend the Kodiak brakes. I am in salt water and rust is a continual issue.
Get the best grade you can afford -- the more stainless the better if using in salt water.

thx --- Dale

never heard of such a thing. Kodiak's have standard bearings and seals in them.

I have Kodiaks. If you need a different seal, you should be able to get a seal that fits your spindle and the disk brake hub easily.
