Considering where you are, are you possibly referring to winterizing?

If the boat has been stored over winter, before it goes back into the water the marina will check to make sure everything is working correctly. (bellows;hoses;belts;gimbal ring;prop condition;battery charge; fluid levels;blower;bilge pump;lights;fluid leaks;idling/shifting; engine temp. Etc!)

Yes - Summer-izing (not summarization . . isn't that arithmetic?)

That is when you pay the Marinia a few hundred bucks for starting up your boat and letting any anti-freeze, etc run out of it :) :p

Mostly ;) But it depends. My FIL has his malibu winterized and summerized - they take the impeller out before winter and put it back in before summer. Seems unnneccessary to me, but removing the impeller in a ski boat takes 2 minutes.

I do all the oil change/gear oil before summer, winterization for me is just draining the block and disconnecting the battery.
