Re: summerizing
Greg,

I owned a pair of volvo 225 engines in my Sportcraft boat. These were GM 305 CID - V8 engines. As I remember, each engine/exhaust system had six (6) water drains and eight (8) spark plugs.

The two drain plugs were located on side of the block, one on each side, just above the oil pan level.

Two more were on the exhaust manifolds. One on each manifold in the lower center.

Two more were on the exhaust risers. Again, one on each riser.

But ?WHY? do you need to remove the drain plugs? If your boat was winterized properly, just go for it! Put it on muffs and the garden hose and start it in your driveway - before going to the lake. (just to be sure it starts)

You should not have to drain the propylene glychol (pink) antifreeze before the season. If ethylene glycol (green) was used, I agree, it must be drained and flushed before putting it in a lake or stream. Ethylene glycol is very poisonous to marine animals (and other too).

If you were refering to changing the spark plugs, each engine needs eight (8). But I would change them after you start the engine and burn out most of the fogging oil that was loaded into the fuel induction passages during winterization. (no sense in fouling the new plugs)

Enjoy your boat !! ! - I hope summer and warm dry days are soon ahead.
