Re: summertime cold

Its hard to get over those summer colds, hard to make yourself get the rest you need. You know, the weather is nice and you have things to do, etc. And at the same time, you get to deal with allergies and such.

Rest rest rest, eat eat eat, and drink your V8 juice. Good time to catch up on your reading.

Git on over to the doctor and tell him to prescribe you a Z-pack. You won't be sorry, but you will get well quicker.

Note:

Z pack (zithromiecin) [sp] ... derivitive of penicillian.... in case your alergic.

Biaxin is the only anti-biatic I can take. Period.
Doc says I SHOULD be alergic to that,.. but I'm not. It's very strong, works great, but leaves a NARSTY taste in ya mounth.

Colds are viruses. anti-biotics do not work against viruses.

I haven't had a cold for over 2 1/2 years. The minute I get a that "scratchy throat. Oh-crap here it comes feeling" I run out and get me a fresh jar of echinecea, some vitamin C and some zinc tablets. Works for me.

For stuffy heads, there is a tablet called "snore stop" Works like a dream.

Re: summertime cold

those summer colds are sometimes just allergy-related and antibiotics will stop that sore-throat and keep the virus-related inflammation down to a minimum...

Re: summertime cold

Tablets work fine. With fresh I mean't a recently purchased supply. No something thats been sitting in the medicine cabinet for a year.

Trust me, the stuff works, if you get it into your system at the first signs of getting sick.

I was very sceptical of it. I thought it was one of those granola-eating, tree-hugging cures.
