Sunday in Portland, Maine. We got a taxi and went to the LDS Church in Cape Elizabeth, a suburb of Portland across the bay from downtown and in the South Portland area. We met a number of very friendly people, one of whom, Gordon Sprague offered to drive us back to the marina. On the way back Gordon asked if we had seen the Portland Head Lighthouse, commissioned to be built by George Washington. We had not seen it and so he drove us to see it before driving us back to the boat. How very nice of him!

Cari and I will get up early tomorrow and head for Bosun's Marine in Falmouth on Cape Cod, the place we started this circle route trip 70 days ago. It will be just over 200 miles tomorrow and we would like to stop briefly in Boston if we can. The weather forecast is for some wind, early morning fog and some waves. We'll talk with you tomorrow evening.
