I belong to a private club on Lake Texoma (TX), which has two boat ramps and about 60 non-covered slips. The ramp scene is fine – if someone takes an extra minute or two – no problem or fuming lynch mob. Many of us leave our boats in the water during our stay at the club. Last weekend, another storm blew through with much wind and RAIN. Usually some boats take on some water with no major problems. One small open bow boat took on too much water and sank to the bottom – the ropes still tied to the dock. No one knew whom it belonged to. We all left to have breakfast, wondering about the sunken boat. When we came back about two hours later, the boat was gone. We never found out who owned it or how they got it back up.

Guess they were too embarrassed.

DFW,

We got caught that same weekend at Texoma. We were coming from Grandpappy's Point to Cedar Mills and halfway there all hell broke loose. It did blow through fast and we just decided to go have dinner at Pelican's Point, wet as overboard dogs.

Still was a good day after all.

Ron
