Lol I just love the title. Well I went camping this weekend up aound Mt. Mitchell, NC. Kind of a car camping experience with a few friends. We had just set up camp when this s-10 pulled up and asked us If we could help get there truck unstuck. This 21yr old Marine said he wanted to wash the bottom of his truck off. So this is what we saw when we got there.<br /><br />

<br /><br />And get this! In order for him to get here he had to drive his truck down a foot path that is clearly marked "no vehicles buyond this point".<br />So my buddy pulled him out with his Ford Bronco. <br />

<br />Notice the guy wearing jeans in the back of the truch. Yeah that's the Marine.

<br />And the guy wearing long jons is his budy who was smart enough to take his pants off to help him. Notice my buddy is staying dry.<br />

<br />This guy had a boxer in his car the whole time and he was so nervous he did this to the seatbelt. Thats right he chewed it in half. LOL.<br /><br />Well to end the story the engine had ingested water and had hydro lock. And he had no way of taking the plugs out. So he had to get it towed; I guess back 100 miles to his home$$$$. So we save them that day a nasty encounter with the game warden$$$$$$$$. But this was not the end. I got up the next morning and packed up to leave and drove by there campsite to see have they were. Unfortunatly they had left the radio on all night in the s-10 and drained the battery dead in the only transportation they had so we had to jump them off. LOL what a camping trip

Good for you doing so many good deads for these folks. I wonder who hauls them out the fire when you aren't around

Im surprised the S-10 didnt pull him out, its just a crummy little ranger ... I grant ya, if yer REALLY stuck, one thing you want to see is a full size Bronco to the rescue!<br /><br />I love the area up there, (well, down there, but up from Charlotte!) Mt Mitchell is the highest peak in NC, and Marti and I almost made it to the top, before driving into CLOUDS and having to turn back - talk about pea soup!!!!<br /><br />Innnnnnteresting note - that water is crystal clear, hmmmmmm, I guess the ol Jarhead didnt notice that the water got DEEP, I know 4x4 guys feel especially empowered, but unless you have either a hell of a lift kit or a snorkel, yer gonna be in trouble if you play subMARINE!!!!<br /><br /> <br /><br />

I have a 4 banger s-10, good truck but it would'nt pull a greasy string out of a gnat's azz!

mine pulls like a bull from a dead stop, must be the 4.10 rear<br /><br />and I hope it can pull, I am going to see about getting a big ol Starcraft - dont think it will even be near the limit of 3k tho<br /><br />but ill find out!
