can anyone tell me what year this motor is ?<br />serial # is 2951699<br />mercury 500 red band, super thunder bolt.<br />motor has good compression but would a motor this old be a good motor to restore?<br />thanks for any info.<br />Ron
Oh yeah, if your having good compression and see no need in compleatly tearing down this motor, go for it. It seems that these older motors like mine has simpler easier to fix parts.
