Do they work well? Is it worth the $300.00 for the kit. It looks easy to install on my 7.4L MPI engine. I boat in salt water and wonder if its worth it or not? Will manifolds & risers last much longer? 9 yrs on originals before they were changed.

I just changed manifolds & risers and I definately won't have the boat when they need replacing again.

You will probably find out like everyone else that puts some sort of flushing system on it. They use it all the time ............. the first month. Then it's a PITA to deal with etc. etc.
If you trailer your boat after each use, then it's a waste of money. Put some muffs on it and run the engine. Less than 10 bucks.

I am keeping it in the water so muffs probably won't work all that well.

Re: Superflush 400 engine flush kit

Hi, I also have a 7.4 MPI and I will be changing my manifolds soon and wish to install the SuperFlush kit. I also heard there is a similar item called MST Guardian. Do you know which is best and where I can buy them? I am located in Malta (Europe) and would like to find a retailer who ships overseas.

Thanks in advance

I think MS Guardian went out of business or got bought by someone. I will look on home compute to see if I have it bookmarked.

What about the Perko flush system?

The Perko is a lot less cost and others have reported satisfacton with it but a few have reported the plastic housing failing. It definitly needs to be mounted scurely. I'm considering making a flush attachment like often shown here with two or three bronze valves on a tee.
